Who is eligible to participate in Univeristy Sports?
The program is primarily intended for students and employees of Lübeck's universities (UzL, THL, and MHL). Other groups may participate by paying a basic fee, even if they are not affiliated with the university.
Participation in our programme is possible from the age of 18.
How much does it cost to participate in the Univeristy Sports?
Prices vary from course to course. Fees for each course are divided into three categories based on the status of the participants – students/employees/guests.
I have booked a course but unfortunately cannot participate. What should i do?
Registrations are binding and registration and course fees are non-refundable. We can only accept cancellations of your bookings until the start of the current course program.
In case of a long-term illness, separate conditions apply. In this case, please contact the University Sports Service Office at 0451/31012121 or kontakt@hochschulsport-luebeck.de.
Can i withdraw from a booked offer?
Withdrawal from booked offers is generally not possible.
How many courses can i choose?
On the day the course program is published, we ask you to initially choose only one course. As demand is often very high, we want to ensure that as many students as possible have the chance to participate in university sports. Once the initial rush has subsided after a few days, you are welcome to book additional available courses. Please note, however, that your courses should not overlap in terms of time.
Do i have to register every semester?
Our courses usually run on a semester basis or during the semester break. If you want to continue taking the course after that, you must re-register for the new program period.
Some courses run outside of our program period. This is noted in the course description.
Can i switch between courses?
Its generally not possible to switch between courses.
What happens if a course is cancelled? How can i see if a course hass been cancelled?
In exceptional cases, a course may be canceled without replacement if it conflicts with special events or if the course instructor is unable to attend. Participants will be informed in a timely manner.
Do i need to bring anything with me for the start of the course?
You will find all the details about the materials you need or any special clothing in the course description and in your booking confirmation.
I am ill and cannot attend the course. What should i do?
If you are unable to attend the course for just one session, you can simply skip it. In this case, it is not necessary to inform us or the course instructor.
If you are unable to attend the first course session, please check whether the first session (e.g., for instructions) is mandatory. If this is the case, please contact kontakt@hochschulsport-luebeck.de
If you are unable to attend for more than one session due to illness, you can cancel your registration by submitting a doctor's note. This requires individual clarification with University Sports, please contact kontakt@hochschulsport-luebeck.de
Can I join a course later?
In principle, yes. However, please note that you will always have to pay the full course fee and that the course content may build on each other, so joining later on may not be advisable.
Can i take a trial lesson?
No, trial lessons are not possible.
I got injured during University Sports, what should i do?
Report it to the course instructor imediatly and fill out our accident report form. You can download it here.

How does the waiting list work?
If a course is fully booked, you can add your name to the waiting list. As soon as a place becomes available, the first person on the waiting list will receive a notification by email. If the person notified does not accept the place that has become available, the next person on the waiting list will be informed. Notifications are sent in the order of the waiting list.
What happens in a case of theft or me loosing something?
• Liability: Hochschulsport Lübeck accepts no liability for theft or loss of personal property.
• Lost something? Please check the lost property box at the respective sports facility first. If you cannot find it there, it is worth checking with the city's lost property office (Lost and found office of the Hanseatic City of Lübeck).

Um eine reibungslose Durchführung des Allgemeinen Hochschulsports zu gewährleisten, bitten wir alle Teilnehmerinnen und Teilnehmer,
• möglichst pünktlich zu den Veranstaltungen zu kommen,
• die Hygiene- und Verhaltensregeln während des Kurses unbedingt einzuhalten,
• die vom Hochschulsport zur Verfügung gestellten Geräte so zu behandeln, dass sie auch von nachfolgenden Gruppen genutzt werden können,
• Anordnungen der Übungsleiterin oder Übungsleiter und der Hausmeister nachzukommen,
• das Fotografieren oder Filmen von ÜL und TN in unseren Kursen ist grundsätzlich nicht gestattet.
Entsprechende Aufnahmen können mit Nachweis eines berechtigten Interesses nur nach vorheriger Rücksprache mit der Leitung und auch nur mit ausdrücklicher Zustimmung derjenigen, die von solchen Aufnahmen betroffen sein werden, getätigt werden.
